YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about internal drawer installation — honest, practical answers to the questions homeowners ask most.
Suitability & Compatibility
No — and this is the whole point of what we do. Internal drawers are fitted inside your existing cabinet carcasses. Your doors, cupboard fronts, benchtops, handles and kitchen layout are untouched. You get the benefit of pull-out drawers without the cost, disruption or inconvenience of a kitchen renovation.
Most standard kitchen, pantry, laundry and wardrobe cupboards are suitable for internal drawer installation. We work with both modern flat-pack cabinetry and older custom-built cupboards.
The best way to be certain is to book a free measure and quote. We'll look at your cupboards and give you an honest, clear answer on what's possible — and what isn't, if that's the case.
In the majority of cases, yes. Our drawer systems are designed with standard hinge positions in mind and can be configured to accommodate them.
We confirm hinge clearance at the measure-and-quote stage. If there is a hinge placement that affects the drawer configuration, we'll tell you and discuss your options. It's rarely a barrier.
Yes. Pantry cupboards are one of our most popular applications. Deep pantry shelves are the classic problem — everything gets pushed to the back and becomes inaccessible.
Internal drawers completely change how a pantry functions. You can see everything, reach everything and keep it organised far more easily.
Corner cupboards are more complex than standard cupboards and have specific constraints based on their style and access. We offer specialist corner storage solutions and will assess what's possible for your particular corner cupboard at the measure-and-quote visit.
In some cases a standard internal drawer isn't the best fit for a corner cupboard, and we'll tell you honestly if that's the case — along with alternative options.
Installation & Process
Most jobs are completed in a single day. The exact time depends on the number of cupboards being fitted and the configuration of each. We'll give you a clear estimate when we provide your quote. Once complete, your drawers are ready to use immediately — no waiting time.
Yes, please empty the cupboards being fitted before the installer arrives. This allows the job to be done efficiently and cleanly.
If you have difficulty emptying the cupboards yourself, let us know when booking and we can discuss options.
Yes — immediately. There's no glue curing time, no paint to dry and nothing to wait for. Your drawers are ready to load the moment the installation is complete.
We'll do a walkthrough with you before we leave to make sure you're happy with everything.
It depends on the height of your cabinet and what you plan to store. A typical under-bench kitchen cupboard will take two to three drawers — one large drawer at the bottom and smaller drawers above it.
We'll advise the best configuration for your specific needs and cupboard dimensions at the quote stage.
In most cases, the existing fixed shelves are removed to make way for the drawer system. The drawer system is then fitted to the cabinet carcass using the existing interior structure.
We remove the old shelves and take them with us as part of the installation process.
Pricing depends on the size of the cupboard, the number of drawers, and the type of installation. We provide a free measure and quote so you know exactly what’s possible and what it will cost before going ahead.
Our drawer systems use quality hardware built for everyday use and are backed by our manufacturer life-time warranty for added peace of mind. We can explain the warranty details during your quote.
Yes — our drawer systems use premium soft-close hardware for a smooth, quiet feel in everyday use.
This is useful, but not essential.
